Yve started motor racing when she met Jeremy in 1995. After helping him build the Triumph Special, she was stunned when Jeremy gave her a race suit for her birthday, as she then knew that she was going to race it.

Her first event, Cornbury Park was interesting, she spun the car on the first corner in her first practice run. In the same car, she won the Classic Car class in the Paul Matty Classic Challenge Championship and did the same in 2004 their Royale Formula Ford.

She loves Hillclimbing, and admits that the social side is as enjoyable as the competing. She has been a member and treasurer of the British Women Racing Drivers Club since 1999 and was second in their Hillclimb championship in 2004 and also second in their Speed championship. Her times getting ever closer to Jeremy’s.

After a couple of years break she was racing again in 2012 with events at Goodwood, Prescott and Shelsley Walsh.

With an article about her in the book ‘Women in Motorsport since 1945’ she is proud of her achievements, but finally hung up her helmet in 2018.

Between them Yve and Jeremy have seven grandchildren with whom they like to spend as much time with as possible.
